REDEEM YOUR SENSES IN YOUR HEALING JOURNEY

REDEEM YOUR SENSES IN YOUR HEALING JOURNEY

As a human being, you are able to see, smell, hear, touch, and taste. These are inherent senses that allow you to navigate the world through your feelings. However, when suffering through constant abuse, some of your senses get compromised. Let’s dive in.

Emotional abuse and consistently being gaslit have a tendency to compromise our senses due to perpetual gaslighting. This happens because the abused no longer trusts their own perception. Therefore, by adapting to the narrative created by the abuser, they compromise their own senses. When the abused has compromised human senses and a lack of self-confidence, it is easier for the abuser to take FULL control.

Throughout the healing journey, these senses come back with a passion because they’ve been gaslighted for a long time.

SIGHT

Your sight improves because you no longer doubt yourself or what you perceive. If you see something, you store it in your memory. If someone attempts to gaslight you, you defer to your memory rather than their gaslit version of events. This will naturally strengthen your body and improve your vision.

While driving as a rideshare driver, I saw a passenger approaching my car. He inhaled from a vape before getting into my car and exhaled while inside. I saw the exhale in my car and started recording audio. Paraphrasing the events, I asked him why he exhaled smoke inside my car. He gaslit me, then said something to the effect of it’s nirvana, like he was in his own little world. I told him he blew out smoke in my car, and he tried to suggest he didn’t. When he intentionally gaslit me, I told him the ride was over and that he needed to get out of my car. He then started threatening me about how he knew everybody on the block and that if he ever saw me, then yada yada. Had I not trusted my sight, I would not have reinforced my senses, which would likely have worsened it rather than improved it.

I also stopped wearing glasses because it left marks on my nose, and I trust the vision God gave me. No thanks, America, I don’t need 20/20 vision to fit in.

HEARING

Your hearing improves as you heal since your entire body heals. You’ve heard gaslighting, lies, and victim stories all of your life, and now you HEAR everything. The micro aggressions people have and compulsive behaviors such as consistently tapping objects together or loudly smacking on food. You hear what is not said and take that in as information. As with sight, since you are no longer gaslit and doubting your perceptions, you trust what you hear and your hearing improves to serve you in the world.

SMELL

Your sense of smell improves dramatically. Not only can you smell when you stink, but you can also smell others and different scents that were drowned in misery before. You begin to realize that the abuser and manipulator who rages all the time has a distinct smell of misery. This smell is consistent across all races and cultures.

TOUCH

Your sense of touch allows you to fully feel the sensation. When you touch something, you are not in a predetermined state on what to feel, but actually just feel it as it is. For example, petting a cat or dog could feel different as you feel its fur. The smoothness or roughness of the animal you love or are just petting as you pass by.

TASTE

Your sense of taste becomes a great sensation. You fully taste your food to deliciousness or dislike. Your preferences become yours because you are experiencing things as they are.

CONCLUSION

When you have strong senses, it is difficult to be manipulated and gaslit about them. When someone tries to tell you they didn’t fart, but you smell a difference in the air and a foul odor, you can register the comment, but keep your senses and perception of the events. These benefits reveal themselves after you go through the healing process and your inner self begins to align with your outer actions.
